Well depends on what you want for the server, what gamemode will the server be?

Skyblock[DOUBLEPOST=1579542306][/DOUBLEPOST]
$15+/hour
Or $30+ a project depending on the size of the project, depending on size this can be increased by a whole factor of 10 though.
Oh okay thanks for the insight :) but do full time devs every accept to getting paid monthly?

Well if you wanted to get a dev to do a whole skyblock server with custom plugins/features could be 80$+ weekly

If you wanted just a setup of already made plugins i'd say 30$+ weekly or biweekly.

To do a core on the other hand for skyblock could cost 200$+

well you could potentially get cheaper, just depends on the dev. just make sure to not get scammed lol. gl!
Yeah, skyblock isn’t as much premium or custom plugins like other gamemodes so it is bit more cheaper to make unless your going for something very unique. Hopefully I don’t get scammed but I like to be very thorough so most likely not I hope again.... :)

A lot of developers charge hourly due to the differing amount of hours it takes to complete a project. Sometimes monthly isn't suffient for the amount of work being done.
On the other hand, I've seen some developers offer monthly contracts where they work (x) hours a week for a month, as people do in a normal job.

However, I'd recommend hiring developers from this forum on a per/project basis, not on hourly rates as some skiddy developers might attempt to fleece you for whatever budget you have and then provide a sub-par product at the end of it.
That was some really good info, thank you! Also how would I pay a dev to be dedicated to the server not per/project after the server is completed? Based on commission or whenever he/she needs to work?

It depends on the amount of work you want them to do, and individual developer's rates, I'd check out developers like Stefatorus or Notifyz, they're some of the mid-end in-terms of developer pricing but their skills are top-notch.
Thank you, when I get my budget ready and am ready to start creating I will most definitely contact them and others to see the best option possible![DOUBLEPOST=1579545267][/DOUBLEPOST]
If you want you can give me your discord so we can talk about that im developer.
I’m not looking for a developer as of right now, I just wanted to get some info to prepare and how I should manage my budget, but thanks for the offer!

I've noticed that I was mentioned here as a potential developer. If you have any questions or want to learn of my pricing scheme, you can contact me here or on Discord.

Vorpal is right here. It's best to ask for a price instead of working pay/hour, especially when you don't have a huge project in mind. The advantages of pay/hour only come when you work with a developer that you depend on. More dependence and a more stable payment scheme. If a developer refuses to also give you a fixed price, it's often because they lack the experience and want to benefit from the slow pace. I personally prefer the stability of fixed pricing, for example.

Thank you.
