I'm looking for a developer to code an addition to my website, Minecraft Buzz.
The back end is all PHP & MySQL - A bit of front end work will be required too.
I need an Auction / Bidding system for sponsored slots.
Although I haven't used it personally, I'd like it to be almost identical to the one used by .org, with some slight changes / additions. Please feel free to check it out and get a feel for it.
A list of what I'd like:
In regards to what's already on the site, and what you can use:
Hope I'm not forgetting anything. Please ask any questions you may have below so I can answer them for anyone else that may be asking the same.
Also, no matter how you charge, by hour or per project, please provide me with at least a rough quote on what this will cost.
I have a tight budget, I need to know it's gonna cost roughly X, there's a slight chance it might go up to Y & no more than that, or might just end up costing Z.
Also, please provide me with examples of your previous work and/or experience. I need to be sure this is going to be quality, professionally-written code, with no security vulnerabilities or any sort of bugs.
Thanks!
Stelios.

A list of what I'd like:
- Users will need to select the server for which they're buying a slot. The server needs to be owned by them, be non-disabled & have a positive user rating.
- A single auction for all slots, that lasts (3) days, with a (3) day timeframe to complete the payment.
- Current bids table needs to be REAL-TIME. Maybe Long Polling? IDK, you'll have to look into it.
- E-Mails should be sent out right after the auction with slot numbers and payment links. Reminder e-mail after 24 hours if not completed.
- Slots will last for (2) weeks, Auctions will take place (1) week beforehand.
- E-Mails should be sent out (3) days before expiration to current slot owners, informing them the slot is about to expire & that a new auction is coming up.
- Highest bidder gets the highest slot, second highest gets the second slot, etc. For bids that are equal, the winner is the one to bid first.
- Payments via PayPal.
- All durations, time zone info, amount of slots, minimum bids, etc, need to be defined in a Config file or in the database.
- Last 1 auction need to be cached in a database and available for users to see - Just like .org
- Auction time remaining needs to be shown in the bidding page.
- Like .org, there needs to be a way to show not only the top 5 bids, but all bids made as well.
- There needs to be a way for me to check from other pages whether Auctions are active, and if not, when they will. A pair of entries (a boolean and a UNIX timestamp) anywhere in the database will be perfectly fine.
- Regarding front-end, no styling will be required, It's all gonna be done by me. But I do want all necessary elements to show up in their basic functional form. I want an ugly but working page.
In regards to what's already on the site, and what you can use:
- Currently the site has a pay-per-day system. PayPal functionality is on there, you may be able to use some of that code.
- Slots are being defined by a single field in the database. Normal servers are set to 0, sponsored servers are set to 1, and that field is being used to order servers in descending order throughout the site. So setting this field to 2, 3, 4, etc. would allow sponsored slots to be specified in opposite order.
- There will be a second development site for you to use and work on, with a stripped down database, on a subdomain. All changes made to databases will have to be noted down so I can replicate them on the main one and successfully transfer the system over. All changed files will need to be noted too. No fancy git setups, I'm a stupid masochist
