Who are we?

I’m Blasthappy, I’m one of the few leaders of the DevIO service team. We are currently hiring skilled Java developers with the knowledge and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Requirements
  • At least 2 years of Java experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to work on the Git platform.
  • Ability to work to our deadlines. If you cannot keep up with our deadlines, this position is not for you.
Compensation

For each job you are assigned, you will be paid 85% per commission. Your estimated income will be dependent on your commissions. Generally, you can make anywhere from $200 to $1000 per month and potentially more if you were to go above and beyond. Much of the time, we will always have extra clients to fill up your free space if needed. Our payment system with team members works like this:
  • The client sends the agreed down payment to the representative who hired you
  • The representative sends 25% of the agreed down payment to you
  • You start working on the project
  • The representative pays you quarterly of the rest of the beforehand for each section completed
  • Once plugin is finished, you will send it to the representative so that he may upload it to the DevIO test server.
  • After the client tests the plugin and is satisfied, the rest of the payment is sent to the representative, the plugin is delivered to the client, and the appropriate payment is sent to the developer.
This is to ensure all of our team members and our clients experience a safe and scam free environment.

Application Process

You can email your applications to [email protected], contact me in a PM, or add us on Skype (live:devio.business). Please note that if you don’t have a portfolio to show us, we’ll request a trial plugin to prove that you’re qualified to join us. Please message us with the following template filled out:
  • Your full name
  • Your Minecraft username
  • Timezone
  • Link to your GitHub (if any)
  • Link to any projects you’ve done (if any)
  • Resume (if applicable)
We hope to be working with some of you soon!

How to identify a bad work environment:
I do not think that is anything bad. We are a serious team and try to single out the individuals with good work ethic.

EDIT: I edited it a tad to be more lenient.

People slacking and/or procrastinating should be tolerated as long as deadlines are still met.

Demanding stuff is awful.

Slacking and procrastination are the reason deadlines are not met in the first place. I do believe the demand part is a tad harsh, I will edit it.

Its somewhat hypothetical how you say "We do not tolerate slacking or procrastination at any point" when you have 2 -reps saying you have overrun deadlines, and kept saying you will finish it "tomorrow". Which is pretty much the definition of procrastination.

I understand that. But considering the number of deals I have processed, it is a decent ratio.

I'm puzzled: Not trying to be mean, but what advantages you have being part of your team, and getting 85% instead 100% when working directly with the client?
