factions started the doxing and shit

hcf inherited it[DOUBLEPOST=1616622631][/DOUBLEPOST]
I was waiting for someone to say this; thank you Brinille.

Do you believe that Minecraft was ruined after 1.8 because of the combat system update? Or do you believe that a majority of the pvp community stopped at 1.8 and never evolved because of preference?
Majority of Minecraft's playerbase are pvpers were based on 1.8 / 1.7.10, due to the sudden change of pvp and game mechanics the whole pvp community got absolutely demolished.

Minecraft isn’t dead, and likely won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. I think you can say that HCF has died as a gamemode, but the game as a whole is still going strong.[DOUBLEPOST=1616652738][/DOUBLEPOST]

I mean I wouldn’t say majority, we’re definitely the minority in the grand scheme of things. I still play the newer versions too, and I was a sweaty pvper starting in 2013, so I don’t think the player base just up and went, especially considering these servers still run on the version that everyone likes.

This isn't true - Minecraft has grown. HCF did not make an immense impact on this. HCF did make a difference in the number of players in the PvP community.

Minecraft does indeed remain a game with, on average, older players - but younger players are still joining the game, just usually not on java.

Minecraft is growing fast. However, the PVP scene has not seen the growth that came with the 2019 resurgence. With this comeback, 1.7 and 1.8 servers are on their way out (except for Hypixel), as seen with the recent announcement regarding the shutdown of the original HiveMC network on Java. Though despite the shutdowns, we are seeing a surge in content for bedrock, and the smart servers are creating Bedrock versions of their Java servers, most notably both Mineplex and the Hive are both operating successful Bedrock servers that are seeing thousands of new players daily. Most of these players are a lot younger and play on consoles and mobile devices. Some of these people may shift to Java later on, but I think that Microsoft will do everything possible to keep them on the versions of Minecraft developed and ultimately controlled by Xbox Game Studios.
