I was having an argument with my friend about the differences between the two roles and I was having a hard time explaining the differences so I was hoping for you guys to tell me some differences between the two roles.

The admin is administration. The admin have permission over everything same as the owner but maybe the owner has more permissions. There is different types of admin. It can be an moderators admin, application admin, support admin or Admins manager. The admin can add moderators, remove open application or just look over all the moderators and how it's going.
The moderator can be for moderation role and they listen to what admins say. I can mention also that moderator main role to moderate the server and make it good place but admin role to see that everything is working right. Everything, staff, moderation, system and anything else.

Like I said that there is different admin roles. Every admin have something to do. Moderator have also different things to do but not same as admin becuase moderator can be a role to get ready to have a look over manything at the same also to can access to things that moderator can't see or use.

Usually Moderators focus on the community side of the server, making sure players are following rules and etc. While Admins focus more on game design/ideas and backend tasks such as configuration.
