hello from my experience the difference between vps and dedicated servers used for minecraft means of you buy a 16 gig dedi you can forward 5 gigs to this server and 3 gigs to another one and 8 gigs to another and I can change where the ram is located and a vps is a shared dedicated host that you have one server with the gigs you chose and no more am I correct?

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Ok so what would be the easiest way to host a bunch of 1 gig servers cheaper then buying 10 vps's

Ok so you would go to servers/create server/then pick options/create (on multicraft)

No no no!
You ARE able to host more than one server on a VPS, but remember you'll only have one IP address. But the VPS is your own virtual dedicated server, within a physical dedicated server that hosts many other virtual dedicated servers.

You can host multiple servers on a dedicated server as well, some hosts do let you buy multiple ip addresses if you want to host multiple servers (That aren't connected, I'm assuming) without having that ugly :255xx port. There are less limits with a dedicated server than a VPS, but you are still able to host more than one mc server on both of them.

I'd recommend a dedicated server over a VPS though, if you can afford it.

So 1 ip is 1 server pretty much
No..
Are you going to be linking all the servers to a network? If so then it won't even matter.

Otherwise your going to have a port at the end. Example 127.0.0.1 is your ip address but players will type in 127.0.0.1:25566
