I think the website should add different/multiple payment options for resources so that you can sell things for both paypal/bitcoin ect

I see a Stripe implementation pretty easy and a huge bonus to the site's resource section so you can pay with CC's.

It would depend on the seller him self

The point is to allow the seller to pick which payments they want to accept for example Id like to accept CC + paypal + bitcoin so the buyer can use any of these :)

The only issue I'd see with this (other than the obvious issue of the how) is the complications of when/if a transaction is reported as fraudulent through a bank, rather than PayPal. Obviously with bitcoin and cryptos you can't really do that, but a lack of centralisation could become an issue for people selling their products in the long term.

What's the difference with Paypal?

It is your decision if you want to accept other currencies, but it should at least be an option.

I'm not sure I understand your question.[DOUBLEPOST=1524414818][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yes. Perhaps that should be clarified :)

A Stripe implementation would be poor for quite a few reasons, it is definitely not appropriate for this community. Customers may not be happy with PayPal, but if people used Stripe they'd be absolutely annoyed. I love Stripe, it's great, but it isn't fit for services mostly purchased by kids (often using parents' cards, sometimes without permission) and with high risk and high chargeback rates. Stripe will issue $25 fees simply for receiving chargebacks (refunded only if you win). It just wouldn't be used.

What's the difference with Paypal?
PayPal uses its own dispute system and PayPal users primarily file disputes via that system, banks encourage PayPal disputes to be filed first before bank disputes. Most disputes can be resolved at this stage which doesn't incur external chargeback fees (both Stripe and PayPal charge $25 for these). Disputes are solved according to PayPal's relatively simple dispute terms, the point is the right party keeps the money, irrelevant of crap that banks may consider.

Bank disputes are far more political and expensive (both for merchants and payment processors). High chargeback rates will easily result in account closure, at both PayPal and Stripe. Since Stripe has no dispute system like PayPal, all chargebacks are via bank, and honestly most sellers on this site would get closed for high risk in no time, even if they got approved in the first place.

---

Bitcoin is unsuitable for payments here. Confirmation times are long, payments are expensive due to fees. Here payments are mostly micropayments (small amounts), and so the fee would literally be a sizeable percentage of the total cost. It makes it rather pointless. Customers (i.e. the kids here) are impatient and want quick access to their product, Bitcoin can take hours for a confirmation.

Thing Is with Stripe It’s also Easy to use stolen cards so It means people can go rogue and go resources and then mcm suffers
How on earth have you come to this? Stripe has some of the best fraud modules out of any payment processor. In my experience, comparable or outperforming those of PayPal.

The second part of your sentence is incomprehensible so I'm going to ignore that part.

I think PayPal is an easy system to use based on the community, it might be an entire hassle with custom development and add-ons to fulfill the purpose of such a small percentage of the community.

Majority of the community now uses PayPal and I think due to the longevity of the use, it's most likely going to stick. (obviously excluding the small percentage I talked about earlier).

Regardless, just as Ivain pointed out, it may not be accessible through XenForo and therefore would require an entire custom development project to fulfill this suggestion, I just think it's not feasible to be completely honest. However, it definitely is possible.

This has also been suggested in the past but we denied it for there not being enough hype or use of crypto on MC-Market any more. Maybe in the future of crypto suddenly becomes popular again we will look into getting something custom developed.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
