Well the title says it all. I got an email the other day from DigitalOcean, that they "accidentally" purged all droplets on my account. Normally I let my DigitalOcean run into past due, just because of how my paychecks line up. It's never been an issue. Anyways, I lost:

My portfolio from scratch, Jenkins Instance (built my plugins over the last year and a bit), SQL Databases from over the last year as well.

Here's the email I got from them:

What should I do now? I'm out of words to say the least.

You can't do anything at the looks at it. The data is gone

I mean I see that, but what should I say to them? Request free hosting? Should I even reply to them about this? What would you do from here on out?[DOUBLEPOST=1498414796][/DOUBLEPOST]
Did you not take backups?

Didnt think I needed to. I had my droplets make backups on the droplets themselves, just in a safe location. However, it wasnt safe from the hands of digitalocean pressing the delete button.

omg this actually made my die laughing.

Deleted User 71355 I mentioned in my post, that my paycheck doesnt line up with the payments on DigitalOcean, so usually I go negative for a bit until my paycheck shows up. Hasn't been a problem for the year I've been with them.

Nothing you can do I'm afraid.
I have the same paycheck issue sometimes, since I get paid four-weekly and not monthly so my payday differs from month to month. Log your payment due dates, and paychecks on something like Google Calendar. It helps me to keep track of stuff, and when money is due to come out.

Well I would like to think that all my files that were wiped & the time needed to redo everything are worth much more than 20$

Yeah, I guess that is true
