If someone were to charge-back on you, you can create a scam report but currently you cannot view their profile to see that they even have a scam report open. Mick said:
Instead, in a future update we plan to make only the 'Scam Reports' tab visible on disabled user profiles, which should remove the risk brought up in this thread in a much better way.
Thread: https://www.mc-market.org/threads/566827/#post-4400149

However, that isn't enough in my opinion. Those who made a report against x won't be able to leave reputation to let the community know what happened.

We should be able to leave reputation on people's profile, regardless if that person's account is disabled. They may not be able to post or purchase from the resources, but they can still view the forums and be able to add people off-site such as Discord to deal.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I suggested this before, Mick said they'll add an option for "only" these features so people won't be hiding their scummy identity.
Take Rezende as an example.
What do you mean "only these features"? Is it a public thread, because ngl, I didn't look before posting.

I meant, I said this before and Mick did confirm he will do it.
But the reputation looks a nice deal (you can still edit rep by going to their rep from your profile).

I'm confused, did you meant LET disabled accounts do this, or LET US view these on disabled accounts?

Not everyone who makes a scam report against someone has left them a reputation.

Let us view/add reputation on members. We only really need to view two things on someone's profile; scam reports tab and reputation as well as being able to add reputation against a member.

A similar argument to this could be made for quite a large number of things, and ultimately if we add back all functionality at that point it'll defeat the point of being disabled. For example, you should be able to view the contact details too because otherwise, you could have an impersonator claim to be them.

How about instead of this suggestion and the one linked in the OP, we instead just make disabled users' profiles explain that you shouldn't deal with them or anyone claiming to be them because you cannot view their rep/contact details/scam report history?

I thought being disabled was more of a GDPR thing, you know, a substitute for not being able to delete accounts. If someone's account is disabled, there is no way for someone to tell if they have a scam report on them, let alone adding reputation to warn others that a scam report is on them. Of course, having the ability to leave reputation doesn't guarantee someone will actually do it, it is helpful for those who would like to leave a reputation to at least caution people in some form.

But your idea of adding a notice to disabled accounts is a good idea.

It's surprisingly common for people to request to be banned or want to just not be able to engage with MC-Market anymore because they have an assignment that's due soon or they're spending too much time here, so being disabled also achieves that.

Basically, I don't want to make disabled users to have too many permissions or be able to do too much on the site, since people disable their accounts for a reason

That could be a reason, yes, but I mean, it shouldn't stop people from being able to warn others in case they do something like scam, being unresponsive regarding a deal, etc just because the person has their account disabled and 'deserves privacy'.

Oh uh? I mean my suggestion wasn't for those who have their accounts disabled to have more perms; I was suggesting that people, those who do not have their accounts disabled, to be able to leave reputation on profiles even if the person they want to leave it on has their account disabled.

We'll be going with this solution.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
