Recently there has been a surge of people posting a type of thread within this subject and after it's posted it creates a spam off of hundreds of comments, with people asking to buy their stuff. In the end, for most of these threads they're useless since the buyer doesn't find a product or service they need and move onto another part of the forum to search, or continue their search to find something worth their money on another forum. Therefore, rendering their thread useless in the first place.

If people want to find something worthy of their money rather than posting a thread and causing people to post useless comments, they should be looking on the forum for something. If someone wants to sell something they'll post it on the market.

Why this should be disallowed on the market

- Causes a surge of unneeded, miscellaneous comments and for most of the time the OP ends up ditching the thread because of this (Also Encourages Post Farming)

- If the "OP" wants something he can look on the forum themselves.

- If someone wanted to sell something in the first place that interests the OP, they would have posted it already. If not, it's already posted and causing for extra unneeded posting if it's already being advertised.

This forum is broken idrc at this point agree or disagree without posting a comment lol

Another ding to free respectful speech. If the OP doesn't want stupid things, they can add that to their post and may decide to rep based on an "unwanted" post rule violation.

Honestly, the OP 75% of the time doesn't even buy anything from the thread, and it's mainly made for designing teams to post the same message. But nevertheless, the 25% still exists. It doesn't really affect anything, as I sometimes find those threads useful to find things I need, and I don't really think they cause a nuisance, all being said, they aren't actually a major issue / affecting anything. Also the only downside to these threads are people posting mindless things such as 'free love for 100 a day', but something like a logo service or editing team would be something I would like to see. Maybe the OP could make it more relevant, example:
A bad title/ description:

I have 100$ offer me anything.

*OP ends up denying everything*

A good title:

I have a 100$ to buy semi ogs, builds, art etc. Then you won't end up getting people asking off topic things. Then the OP could choose a designer / good builder / good semis or whatever applies to their thread. Maybe the buyer can make it more specific what they want.
If the OP doesn't know what to do with the 100$, then they can simply search the forums, or spend it elsewhere. There's the whole world out there, 100$ can get you a lot! I agree with the OP of this thread to an extent, but sometimes it isn't all that bad.

I don't see a problem with these types of threads. We're a marketplace, it doesn't make sense to implement a whole bunch of restrictions for something that doesn't really have any downsides.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
