My school regularly punished students for bringing up things that many people may find very offensive, one of them being Hitler. Students would regularly draw swastikas on desks, their arms, etc, and for some (ex. Jews and homosexuals), it'd be rather offensive.

On a forum with over 36,000 members and over 1,000,000 messages, shouldn't the staff of the forum in question be taking extra measures to ensure MC-Market is a friendly place where everyone can join, and not get upset about certain names and profile pictures.

Thank you.

We should use Mojang's name filter system and block everything instead.

It has rules but not cancerous school rules buddy boy
Who the fuck are you anyway?

Let me, kindly, link you to the rules, as you've obviously not read them: http://www.mc-market.org/policies/rules/

Actually, no, wait. Let's hop in a Skype call and let me fucking read them to you.

On a more polite note, what do you have against this rule being implemented? Your no longer allowed sexual conversations in the shout box, but I don't see you complaining about it.

If you find something offensive, then report it.
Simple as that.

Wtf is wrong with people?
I understand if you set something as a joke to be funny,
But being completly offensive and rascist shouldnt be allowed.
I think that being called hitler is okay-ish.
But saying stuff like "censored jews censored censored censored censored" isnt acceptable at all.
Now if you come to "get freedom from school" then fuck off m8.
This website isnt "escapefromschool.com/amazinglifewhereyoucandowhateverthefuckyouwant"
This is MCMarket, and personally, I find it hard to believe you "escape from school" in a block game.
And also, people were doing offensive things on *example* youtube, with over a billion users and nothing compared to 36k, but youtube banned saying offensive things. Now they do allow freedom of speech, but outright offensive things arent allowed.
And if you belive the being offensive is protected by having freedom of speech, then all I can say is you've lost one dear thing that makes us who we are, your humanity.

Tbh: I agree with this. Just because the internet is full of toxicity and trolls doesn't mean all sites within it have to be as well. Blocking offensive names would make the site more professional and get rid of childish idiots.

Btw, there is a difference between freedom of speech and hate (and malicious) speech.
