My suggestion is disallow scam reports to be made on capecode or alt transactions. They are not allowed on the site so if people are dealing in cape codes or alts on the site then it is bannable. They shouldn't be allowed to make a scam report or take a ban at the end of it because they have done something against McMarket rules.

Ya but then people can scam with alts and cape codes and not get banned.

I get what you mean. However, this just gives everyone the opportunity to scam members of their codes/alts without getting banned.

I can literally just PM a member for their skype, scam them of their code/alt, and sell it on here. Without getting in trouble... I don't really see how this is beneficial at all.

You shouldn't be making those deals on site anyways, even PMing the user and saying "add me on Skype for accounts/cape code"
So we should just allow them to keep scamming on MCM?

Newer members would never know whether to make the deals or not. It's not fair for them. If they have proof you did it, then a scam report is fine. It'll just make mcm a cleaner/safer marketplace.

I feel like on-site deals should still be eligible for a scam report, as long as whoever made the report is aware they are now likely to get a warning for 'minecraft accounts violation'. Just because something is not allowed to be sold does not mean you can scam people out of it. Bad + bad does not equal good.

Well said! The warning points are a perfect solution for anyone dealing with them. I can't stress enough how badly scam reports should still be allowed. If someone scams off-site and doesn't get banned, they definitely pose as a threat to the rest of the users on MCM trying to make money with legit terms.

A scam is a scam no matter what the item is.

However if it's a forbidden item, I'll be applying warning points. Simple as that.
