I mentioned this in my reply to a suggestion to make the section Premium only, which was created after Simon stated that he would be actively combatting buyers and sellers of Skyblock coins:
I would prefer if we simply remove the content completely.
Supporting people in their efforts to violate the terms or license agreements of the services they use is harmful enough on our image as a marketplace platform, but blatantly making changes to the site specifically to hide those violations from the people who would rightfully seek to catch the violators and terminate their service is something I want to avoid as much as possible.

The Minecraft account section, as a precedent, is like quicksand pulling us into businesses we should be avoiding at all costs. We cannot allow it to act as a justification for dipping our fingers into even more (and potentially illegal) grey/black hat activities. I don’t want us to be that kind of site, and I know I’m not alone in that. It’s unfortunate that the community has decided to continue allowing their sale.

If the owner of Hypixel joins MCM, I want to be able to offer him all of the same protections and rights as we grant every other product owner or service provider on our platform.
MCM should always encourage that the sound agreements our users participate in are properly upheld, regardless of how successful a business the agreement is with.

This reply of mine focused primarily on the rights of Hypixel as a business, just as MC-Market is filled with other MC focused businesses. It also focuses on MC-Market’s image as a place that respects people’s rights, encourages legitimate business, and combats piracy/leaks/rights-violations and the violations of agreements between our users. I maintain firmly that just because Simon’s business is a very successful one doesn’t mean MCM should dismiss his rights as no longer important and allow them to be violated all across our platform.

However, I want to focus on our community for a minute. The buyers and sellers of these coins. Do we really want to be encouraging and supporting that people sell these coins to our community members knowing that the people who buy these coins are going to have their accounts banned? What about the sellers, who will not only have their accounts banned, but will have Hypixel, with all of their resources, relentlessly fighting to ensure that those sellers will face legal repercussions?

By allowing the transaction of these items while maintaining that we care about people’s rights, we are giving the impression to lesser aware users that the sale of Hypixel’s assets is perfectly legitimate or at least safe enough and even endorsed by us. The vast majority of our community members are not in a position where they can make informed legal decisions about whether they’re safe to blatantly violate the TOS of the services they use, and MCM should err on the side of caution for their sake.

If MC-Market doesn’t want to endorse these violations as legally sound, we need to stop encouraging and allowing that they be violated, on our platform. The Hypixel Skyblock section is filled with sticky thread advertisements. MC-Market is making money by encouraging that our users violate their TOS agreements with Hypixel and sell their assets to other users who will also have their accounts banned. This is just not acceptable.

Please, let us focus as much of our resources as we can into growing legitimate businesses where the rights of all parties are respected and where our community members won’t potentially face repercussions for knowingly violating their contracts.

It's ironic that you as an administrator of a site which is known for the sale of MC accounts is suggesting the removal of something against ToS. Hypixel is a company with more prosperity than any other server, the sale of coins does nothing to affect them in any way shape or form.[DOUBLEPOST=1589326456][/DOUBLEPOST]Similarly, Hypixel is non Pay2Win, so how it is ruining their business whatsoever? LOL. Let the people who have worked hard to get the coins (writing scripts, actually grinding to get them) to make their own small business.[DOUBLEPOST=1589326922][/DOUBLEPOST]What's also pathetic is your attitude Justis, you claim you seek the best for the site, but if that was the case you wouldn't CONSTANTLY alienate account sellers, and be determined to get what you want, e v e r y t i m e. The consensus was right, not wrong. Just because you have a differing opinion, does in no way make yours superior to the others on this site. Read our comments and understand how ridiculous this thread is, despite the 'overwhelmingly positive' ticks on this thread, it is undoubtedly a contradiction to allow the sales of Minecraft accounts themselves, and not Hypixel coins.

So you're banning the selling of hypixel coins but not the sale of MC accounts both of which are against there respective companies TOS's.

To start off, I am pretty sure that breaking a website TOS is not illegal https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2010/07/court-violating-terms-service-not-crime-bypassing. But even if I am misunderstanding that and we need to shut all the forums that 100's of people claim must be closed, we haven't even gotten to one of the major points of discussion, how do we close these forums down? Do you plan to close these forums in one go and just take the huge hit in the site? Are you hoping to slowly get rid of them by putting small regulations overtime to slowly integrate these policies? How are we going to handle the increase in exit scamming that is going to happen by the big players in the industry? Will there or will there not be a marketing push after the changes to purge out this community? And I think the most important question of all, what are we going to replace these forums with that have relation to MCM that are legal that people can still make money on. So Justis, I am actually in favor of this suggestion depending on the execution, which hasn't been mentioned at all during these suggestions.

Disallowing the sale of Fortnite, Instagram, YouTube, and other platform accounts should also be banned then, same as Boosting Services as it all is against these platforms TOS's.
everyone said that already though
also this suggestion was already accepted

I know this has already been accepted but I find it very misleading that you claim to be #1 in Minecraft Trade and Sales forum but won't allow either trading or selling of coins when people are literally making income from this forum and making it paid none the less which I totally agree on making it paid to sell on the hypixel section but what you should be doing is containing it to that section only and banning and removing those that fall that section cause they do not want to pay it is very hypocritical that you even claim to be #1 in trade-in sales when you will not allow it. For christ sakes when loading the forums you claim to enable entrepreneurs but won't allow the selling of coins cause it breaks TOS and saying it does not hurt Minecraft as a company when it clearly does by allowing people to buy accounts they desire for cheaper than they would on minecraft store. I find it total bullshit that this would even be suggested as it was not hurting anyone or putting anyone in danger if you are worried about TOS how about removing all post that in Products cause there are cheats being sold removing the chick fil a post and remove all Minecraft account trading post as well as all post that include 3rd party selling of products.

This has now been implemented in our most recent announcement, thank you, everyone, for your feedback, and from the vote, it is clear that not only is this what our community wants, but it will make us a more legitimate marketplace.

Accepted, thanks for the suggestion.
