Bought $25 of ads and got zero joins. Totally not worth it. I'd even go as far as to say I've been scammed.

Thanks for supporting the platform by purchasing an ad. After taking a look it would appear the invite link you provided was invalid which would explain the 0 joins. I can confirm the messages delivered successfully however if the invite link wasn’t invalid then no one would be able to join I’m afraid.

When you create an advertisement, it clearly says that maximum message length is 255 characters. The fact that you have tried to send a message of greater length and it has therefore been cut off, is not our fault I'm afraid.

For reference, here is the conversation that we had with the user:

Customer:
Hey
So, as shown my message was shortened for some reason, what can I do for this seeing as I paid about $20

Discord Advertiser:
Each message is capped to 255 in length I'm afraid. It does say this on the form where you create the advertisement

Customer:
What can be done about this?

Discord Advertiser:
Unfortunately as you have already sent the message we can't correct your mistake. Even if we were to correct the message then the @everyone ping wouldn't take affect again therefore the alteration wouldn't be that useful. You'd effectively need us to resend the message which we can't do I'm afraid since it costs us to send messages to the Discord servers (they earn money every time a message is sent).
However, as I can understand and appreciate your frustration, I'll allow you to resend the message but at a discounted price - do you believe that to be fair?
Just to confirm, are you Brandon who sent a live chat offline message?

yes i am, but sadly I will need to file a complaint with paypal at that case. Goodbye. You've helped the previous person but failed here

You've helped the previous with the invalid invite link. But that's fine. Paypal will soon have a complaint for this problem

Discord Advertiser:
We haven't treated you any different, we did not resend the message for them.

Customer:
as I said, a report has been filed with paypal.

What could we do to rectify your mistake?

Allow me to resend the message as you have seen yourself more than likely, the warning of the character limit was so insignificant that I couldn't see it until it was pointed out to me
and if you're not going to do that, I will have no problem contacting paypal.

Discord Advertiser:
We can make that message more prominent so that it's more visible to users however as previously stated; every time an advertising message is sent, it costs us. We can't simply resend the message without paying the owners of the Discord servers. We've offered to reduce the cost of a resend, however that isn't adequate enough?

Customer:
No, you've failed as a service to make it apparent that there was a character cap. I'm just going to file a complaint with paypal, and I will not be recommending this god awful service to others. It shows what your practices are by having something so necessary in such fine print.

We state the maximum length directly on the form input that the user must use to enter the advertising message - it seems highly unlikely that the user can miss that since they entered an advertising message.
