Mc-Market has and allows contact badges for Origin, Xbox, PlayStation, Twitch and League of Legends. For those who don't know what I mean, the picture below should help.

As the majority of users on this marketplace use discord as either their primary platform for contact or just a general contact point, there should be an easy, focused and concise way to find their discord username. Mc-Market should create a Discord Contact Badge for users to upload their discord usernames to their profiles.

This badge would ultimately mean that all users who wish to upload their discord username will no longer need to upload it into a profile post. It would also mean that all users wishing to contact someone by discord would have knowledge of where the contactee's username is (on their profile page).

I don't know whether this would require extra development to the current system or whether it's just the flip of a switch.

It could look like the image below.

At this point in time, I see no real downsides to this suggestion.

Please comment with your feedback or ideas.
(P.S. thanks itslyn for being my unwilling model. I also searched for whether this had been suggested before and couldn't find anything, so please let me if it has)

I suggested this before, however It got denied after countless agrees.
Mick stated that they're discord is under "Information", and it's just a useless widget to add.

Hmmm. Ok.
Well, I doubt he's changed his mind but we'll see.

anything that requires work and for him to pay people is useless.
I don't think that's true. The problem with it isn't necessarily the money, it's the time that development for incredibly minor things will take when there are 100 other more important things for us to introduce in a queue for the site. As it is we already have hundreds of hours worth of development queued up for features that will provide massive benefit to users.

Another problem with custom developing this improvement to the site is that it won't actually reduce the number of impersonator scams that happen. Basically every impersonator scam happens to new users to the site who don't fully understand the importance of checking that the person they're dealing with is who they say they are. Users can already check the information tab for a reliable place to see someones specific discord name, I don't think adding another way to see someones discord is a good solution.

If there is custom development that we can do to reduce impersonation then I will definitely make it a high priority to be done, but I just don't think that this is the solution.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
