Simple mockup, would take literally one minute to integrate using the addon Mick has.

Why is this needed? I am absolutely tired of scam reports being opened (not just on me, but on tons of others) and it's blatantly obvious that it was an impersonator. If we had a Discord ID section, we can simply cross reference the scammer's ID versus the legitimate one, and have the report closed in the matter of one reply.

Mick, don't decline because of this. If you don't want the development, that's fine. Just add the extra field. But this would make it 100x easier on everyone.

The ability to set your Discord ID in your preferences. And if someone opens a report, where your MCM profile link is set as the scammer, it will automatically check your set ID versus what they input (if they put anything in the ID field). If they match, it will create a report, if not, it will put it as an "Impersonator Report" or something.

Maybe also add in the feature for users to set their discord ID as a field on their profile. If the discord ID that a person filing the report writes into the field doesn't match the user's ID, the report is either automatically closed or tagged with "impersonator report" instead.

I was actually going to edit that in, but it'd require too much development probably, and Mick would decline.

1. uh do you know what a vouch is qt?
vouch for Landon - it's annoying. People are too lazy now a days and then blame you for getting scammed when it was someone with a Unicode character. It's simple just copy and paste their name into the verification tool - oh wait ppl are to lazy.

2. That sounds like a good idea, 2 things that should be added to it though, is
a. "(Type N/A if deal was done onsite)"
b. an instruction on how to get the big boy's discord ID (I know a lot of people who don't use discord a lot so they don't know how to do it, could be a good thing to add lol)

They could always put a fake ID in.

While this is good what if the original person who is being impersonated doesn’t even have a discord? You can’t make a comparison if there’s no original account to find.

If you’re refering to the optional idea, it would then open the report to be investigated.

Then that means its an impersonator, because they don't have discord...

FYI Discord IDs help locate users on Discord (ex. http://spoof.ninja/?mode=1) - so having Discord ID as a field, or even allowing users to put their ID in the Discord field (which can be done already as far as I know), would be extremely beneficial.

Edit: To see this in action, you can see http://spoof.ninja/db.php that IDs/names are tied together (IDs don't care about name changes etc.) if you couldn't guess that...

If you think this is effective AT ALL you are retarded. I can make a second discord account in 3 seconds, your ID proves nothing.
It's effective in terms of users who have scam reports made on them (like me) when it's quite obviously an impersonator, and one field would save me, Lotus/Kram, and the user who opened it time.

And what if you made a second discord account and "impersonated" yourself? Then you would have a different ID than the one of your main discord, but you also scammed. See how easy it is to get around that?
Obviously you can get it around it. This isn't a "solve all impersonation" suggestion, that can be done by simply messaging someone on site. This saves my time, and others'.
