Discord Impersonators

Ok guys,

This is gonna be a long story...
So today I was selling some Ethereum on MCM and a guy named Callam#0054 asking me to buy some ETH. I checked the Discord account and what is on the Callam 's profile. They matched, so I thought nothing could possibly go wrong.

This was the deal

After he got the money, he ran away and blocked me on Discord. A few hours later, he changed his name to Dаvid.#1337, exactly the same as 1337

As you can see, the 2 accounts have the EXACT SAME ID and DISCRIMINATOR.

This is crazy. I think it might be some invisible characters or something...

Very sorry that you were scammed by this guy. His Discord does look incredibly a lot like mine.

Please please private message anyone you're doing deals with. He's currently pretending to be 1337

I mean at least act like the user who ur trying to impersonate if you want to try to impersonate someone.

The same name and discriminator is crazy though :/

I got impersonated like 3 times, yeah, nothing that we can do about it instead of tell the scammed people that we're sorry that they were being scammed and tell them they're not us, and next time to ask the guy to pm you onsite to make sure it's him, like that it's:
1. Less chance to get scammed
2. Easier way to scam report the guy if he does end up scamming you.

Unfortunately, I once fell for an impersonator when I only joined the site and wasn't aware of impersonators and scammers.
You just gotta watch out man, I'm sure at least 50% of MCM got scammed, and some of them might have won, at least once, like me, which I got charged back about 4 times and won them all, and once even had to chargeback on a guy for copying another server's logo without their permission and never notified me about it (I chargedback because it was an obvious scam).

Seems like they use a special character in the name that is invisible. If you copy and paste my Discord from MCM, it is different to his eventhough they l9ok the same.

Oh.. man this kid tried to scam me too, People like this ruin this community cause its a easy scam like i nearly fell for it too and he tried to scam me 150$ I hope karma gets him back.[DOUBLEPOST=1532609004][/DOUBLEPOST]
I told him to message me DM's on mcmarket and he diped LOL

I did ask him to message me on MCM, but he said he was out at that time. He told me to check the name + discrim and I fell for it :/

Is there anyway you can get ur money back? Maybe chargeback or something he told me the exact same thing btw what a piece of shit but after i said ''message me right now'' he diped LOL

It's Ethereum so no... The only way is that someone donates me a few cents to make me happy but that's about it :/

- On discord, these two characters look the same so it's fairly easy to impersonate as the user Callum.

He's not doing that. He has an invisible character somewhere in his name. I thought he was doing that at first too :/
