Please allow sale of discord tokens, tokens can be used for so much more than just raiding.

It is the same as minecraft accounts.
It is almost impossible to crack tokens, people make them themself.

It violates Discord’S TOS to sell their tokens, does it not?
Our goal is to remove content which violates rule 5.4 not turn a blind eye to more of it.

Wow, I haven’t heard that one before.
The issue is not a lack of a rule, the issue is that this existing rule hasn’t been consistently and properly enforced. There’s been too much leniency to the point where it has lost its literal meaning and the line that it was intended to draw is no longer understood.
The crack that shattered that line was undoubtedly the MC account section, which flies in the face of the rule’s meaning.

I’d love to remove MC accounts, and I definitely look forward to the day when the community will agree to its removal, but it should not serve as a beacon to more violating content in the meantime. We should be closing the crack, not widening it. Reducing the self-contradiction not increasing it. Providing consistency to our enforcement, and removing ourselves from the content that belongs on blackhat forums before it pulls us down into an endless spiral of rights violations thanks to that exact argument you just made.

I mean, people make money off selling mc accounts. Why should not I be able to sell my tokens (which is my only money making thing that I could possibly do)

You are supporting some people and some people not

Token selling should be allowed untill mc selling is gone.

For the same reason we fight against leak sites which make money off of unrightfully redistributing other people’s content. Because you don’t have the right to be selling them. You agreed to Discord’s TOS when you created an account. It's our job to ensure our users aren’t utilizing our platform to violate the agreements that they have made. Hence, literally the entire scam reports section.
If we do not do that much, then we are failing as a marketplace to uphold the values that we expect our members to uphold in their transactions.

You might as well be asking "Why do you enforce 5.4 at all? I should be able to leak stuff on here and make money off of that, because I can’t make money doing anything else. That’s not fair to me"

Please disable minecraft account selling then. It is against the TOS you agreed to the tos once you bought minecraft.

Allow discord token selling untill mc accounts is disabled.

Try me I can go forever.

We can’t add more blackhat content that violates our own rules until we’re suddenly able to remove all of it. Not least of all because the more blackhat content we add, the more blackhat content selling people will join our forums. Then the progress towards removing MC accounts will revert, and the community will never vote to remove it because the community will have become one that doesn’t give a damn about the rights of anyone but themselves.
Our goal is to avoid becoming a leak site or a hack site.[DOUBLEPOST=1596272505][/DOUBLEPOST]
Considering how many TOS's are violated by things already sold on this site. The problem stims MC-market leadership is picking and choosing whos Terms of Service are able to violated and whos deserve to be followed.

I mean lets just name a few.
Twitter accounts
Instagram accounts
Snapchat accounts
Selling email accounts
Minecraft accounts
And countless other things on this site (These just have dedicated sections.)

You mean the entire basis of MCM? Selling things that violate TOS's? But you want to make this claim because discord is worth upholding and all these other companies arent?

You cannot sit here on your high horse attempting to claim "It violates a TOS" When a good 75% of this site violates TOS's daily. MCM leadership cannot sit here and pick and choose who TOS Is followed. Either its everyone or nobodies enough of this bullshit. You sound like a massive hypocrite and look completely clueless.
You just pulled 75% out of thin air. The actual percentage of transacted funds which were the result of unrightful sales is currently unknown. I believe you missed the part where I’m not specifying Discord specifically should be given special treatment. My argument is that we should not be increasing the amount of content allowed on our platform which violates rule 5.4 That applies to everything.
You’re making the exact same argument that Gronk made. That we need to allow more and more content which violates 5.4 to be sold on our platform because we’re not enforcing it for X Y and Z. That’s wrong.
As much as I would like to, it would also be impossible to suddenly and completely remove all of the content which violates 5.4 but has been given a blind eye because of its roots in MCM. Just like Hypixel items were removed, they will need to be rooted out one at a time, and slowly. That’s the only way to avoid an uproar and mass exodus, and you know it.

Please just stop you are making me lose braincells.

Tos already fucked up facepalm so why ruin my business when other guys violating the tos are making bank. Please do not reply to this if you have nothing better to say. Let the community vote <3

If you actually listed the things sold on this site and checked those companies TOS's and policies id be willing to put money on it being close to 75% (Assuming that you dont count the resource section) And the debate is very very fair. Why should steve be able to sell his stuff that violates Mojang or another company but Gronk cant sell his tokens because "Thats against a tos" It just is laughable. And of course if you remove it all nobody is going to stay. Just like if you keep limiting stuff. There are plenty of mcm alternatives that arent on crusades for no reason. Its like you want to kill the site justis.... You cannot start "caring" about other companies this many years into mcm it looks stupid.

Why support a shitty ass market that allows something that allows ton of shit that is against the tos. But won't allow token selling. Instagram, snapchat, youtube accounts could be cracked. Most of Discord tokens are made by a account creator that just grabs the token. Please stop making me lose braincells Justis.[DOUBLEPOST=1596273297][/DOUBLEPOST]

Where does it stop?
When do the suggestion threads saying "You allow MC accounts, so allow me to violate X’s rights and sell X" end?
Do we just allow everyone to violate everyone’s rights, because the rule apparently has no meaning anymore?
Where do you draw YOUR line at?

At big business X?
At medium business X?
At small business X?
At the user of a competitor’s business X?
At an MCM user’s business X?
At your business?

Keep in mind, both who is registered on what platform, and the size of a business fluctuates and is completely arbitrary.
The answer is simple: Allow no content on MCM which would be transacted without right.
There’s only one process to make that happen, and it is a slow one, and part of that process requires that we not start slipping further down that slope and allowing even more rights to be violated. The world wasn’t made perfect in a day, and it still isn’t. It’s all about progress. Your argument states that we shouldn’t strive for any because we can’t do it all at once. We should instead allow ourselves to slip into chaos.

And what gives you the rights to remove the votes on my suggestion just because you don't like it?

I didn’t remove any votes. Also, all of the votes on your thread were disagrees, from what I recall. They must have retracted them themselves.

Justis, they do got a point with this although you have a point as well however there’s an overwhelming accounts sold on this platform if I’m being completely honest and mc market violates those companies terms or service 60-80% of the time. If mc market were to remove account selling completely the forum would die out at a slow phase.

(although you do have a point where a line needs to be drawn with this I think some of the reply’s were completely childish)
