I started using Discord and -holy-shit- it's wayyy better than Skype and TS together.

I have a question: why is it that unpopular? It should be #1 rn tbh

Discord is eh, it is ok not a fan of the UI, I do hate ts though.. I prefer skype over all of them though.

The reason I mainly use Discord is because you can not resolve IPs, It is impossible If I do remember due to Discords Security. Its also easier in my opinion and more organized. I use it as a more active option than TeamSpeak as I've just gotten so used to Discord since I started using it.

Skype I really just use to contact people and talk to friends, i don't call (barely)

imo skype + discord are better for each of their own reason, i personally dislike discord a lot.

I prefer TeamSpeak over Skype by a lot, but Discord is really a perfect junction imo.

I feel the only reason people still use Skype is because everyone / all their friends still use Skype. Pretty much a paradox meaning Skype will never fade out, or at least it will take a very long time.

Discord is superior to TS and skype in voice quality, api, permissions, security and pretty much all other aspects. i have all 3 but once you actually learn how to use discord (is not hard) you will see its better.
They also give you the dark theme option for free which is good

As for your question, discord is very popular it just isnt big in the MC community yet, kids stick to skype because all their friends have it and they dont know any better. the transition is slowly happening with networks etc closing their teamspeaks and skype groups and forcing players to use discord, My network discord server just passed 300 people because of me promoting it and making people switch. Its the only way to get it to be the preferred choice over skype

I like discord, not really too much though, I can use it if I have to but I prefer skype for chatting and teamspeak for voice communication.

Discord is amazing,

I like it a lot better then TeamSpeak, its like literally less confusing and free for a server. It's voice quality is a lot nicer. So I choose discord over anything else.

Including there is no limit. You can add friends even when they are offline. When TeamSpeak is a hassle if you wanted to invite your friends. It just gives you more quality to hearing, but the notifications if you have them enabled while playing a game you're done for.

Teamspeak has a lot of downsides it seems like every time discord gets updated TeamSpeak's quality level goes down. As I don't think TeamSpeak gets updated. Correct me if I am wrong. I haven't used TeamSpeak since discord came out.

They've updated but hardly at all like discord, Discord gets a new update like every week when last time TeamSpeak had an update was about a year or 2 ago for me.

Discord should have a rainbow nametag tbh.
