Bosny was ok, Rocket handles all the scam reports though so I think that's expecting a bit too much of him (since anthony needs to be promoted again or another scam report staff, even 2 more). I don't think the change will be that dramatic as people always anticipate it to be.

If no one scammed, there would be no need for dumbasses like "Anthony" (seems like a fag to me) or anyone. But no, welcome to 2016...people have lost morals and respect. Back in the 60's and 70's people used to look out for eachother. Whoops, don't see anyone with morals nowadays.

Well yeah....but....people are always going to try scam in every aspect of life, most scam reports are at the fault of the person posting the report though. There's a need for the reports to be handled more efficiently.

Sure, having a good staff team would help, but a lot of the problems with MC-Market is due to the terrible community.

Almost everyone here is a 'Minecrafter' and so most users are very young (less than 16 years old, I'd say the average age here is probably 14 or 15). This is a problem because this community requires its users to be mature. It's a marketplace, you're meant to be buying, selling, and trading things. Even if just a handful of members don't take this seriously, it ruins the entire community.

As I've been at MC-Market since the beginning, I can say that there have always been users trying to be king. They do whatever they can to get their post counts and rating count up, and once they do, they think they're better than everyone else.
Because these people are such a large part of the community, it's harder to do away with them, even though they continue to abuse their fame as some sort of power.

Once these users are finally banned, you have a bunch of people saying "good riddance" and another bunch of people saying "wow such bs". These people need to realize that just because they were your friend and a large part of the community doesn't mean they are allowed to break the rules continually.

I also imagine a lot of the users here aren't really 'cool kids' (because they play Minecraft, it's a given), and so when they come here they are given a chance to bully others and get to be 'cool' for once. Additionally, even the older users act degradingly towards other members just because they are older. So no matter which way you look, everyone is treating each other like absolute shit, which in my opinion should not be tolerated.

Rather than giving a rude user 15 warnings before tempbanning them, why not just tempban them after 3 warnings so they know their behavior is unacceptable? The only way to make this community work is if everyone plays nice (there are a few members already doing that). Not everyone has to be rainbows-and-butterflies nice, but nobody should be allowed to talk down about/to other users without some kind of repercussions.

Tl;dr? When you try and mix a marketplace and social environment with a bunch of greedy adolescents, you're only going to get shit.

PS. I quit my moderator position and left for 2-3 months because of this, I come back and it's the same, maybe even worse.

I also just got the chance to read about K3Feedz situation.
Typically staff are not the problem, but in his case, they are. (Happened a lot more back when Verringer was around though).

Concerning the whole 'transparency' issue, MC-Market doesn't have a transparency policy and somethings people just don't need to know as it's none of their business. Since some members felt they were entitled to know what was going on and why, they started a campaign that made it look like Mick and other staff were doing something wrong, even though there was nothing wrong.

Staff are staff for a reason. If people (the entire community) would stop hating everything they did (unless they had a reason to hate it, such as forcing someone to step down or spreading false rumors), then MC-Market operations would run much more smoothly.

Well I have to say i think I will be taking less time on Mc-Market now. Since anyone who scams can get unbanned for fixing "Security" issues. That sounds 100% legit. Then K3Feedz gets demoted for no real reason... Anyway, Mick made a terrible decision this time around and he's right 2016 will be a new year, one god awful one.

Was K3 demoted for doing his job and banning Linux? I don't know the full story yet.

I like rocket and Bosny, so I don't have too much of a problem with them as admins, but this is retarded. K3 was a great admin. If Mick can't handle owning a forum site, he should sell it. Now he's dumping all his duties on two admins. Really? What is the point of that?

The Linux being unbanned thing is just ridiculous. I think I'm going to give up on this site's rules now. He should just unban Ew, Jurhed, and Skill cause why not? If there's going to be one scammer/toxic member allowed back he may as well allow them all.
