I've asked in the #advertisers channel in Discord as I have spend a few hours trying to compress and resize my animated banner to fit the 728x90 permitted dimensions for the forum sidebar. However, upon uploading the 150% lossy compressed GIF (which looks quite grainy), a 2.11MB file, it still reports the file as being too large. I did have to resize it to 468x60 to finally upload.
Would appreciate having a mention added to the maximum file size, so that we can strike a balance between a quality animated banner and not chasing an unknown file limit with multiple passes of high GIF compressions.
If needed, attached is the banner I tried uploading for testing purposes, and can be removed after to avoid overstepping on having promotional content outside of designated areas.
Please feel free to switch report type to suggestion, if it appears to be working as intended, and just needs a mention as to the upload limit.
