DNS / Regedit

So a lot of pvpers probably know or atleast heard of DSN (Domain Name System) and Regedit (Registry Edit). I am just wondering if using either of these to increase your connection or what else it does, does it work? Currently I'm using Google's DNS and it feels like a lot better connection. Please expand my knowledge about this.

Both these things are bullshit and anybody claiming to sell something related to them is scamming you.
