Do you think Minecraft (Java) will at some point regain the massive amount of popularity it once had? I know they’re going to revamp the combat system again which is interesting but I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or bad thing these days.

It has the potential to. Just like any game but they need to stop adding new pointless things in and start making it more fun / challenging or even something that makes you feel like you're working toward something.
They’ll probably remove PvP because it’s too violent for their kid audiences and they don’t want them to become school shooters

I’ve always felt that by the time 1.7 rolled around the updates shifted from being “quality over quantity” to “quantity over quality.” They’re so focused on packing every update with new mobs and weapons that the game has become less meaningful.

They will bring it back.I want it to come back. I have little hope of it happening though.
