Does anyone actually make decent money making plugins?

I definitely enjoy doing it, and for me, the enjoyment is more significant than the monetary rewards. Nevertheless, I've generally been able to charge $30-35 USD/hour, which seems to be a pretty common hourly rate amongst most experienced plugin developers I've worked with. During the metaverse craze last summer, many developers were making around $200/hour, but that's probably never going to happen again in the foreseeable future

I personally don't do much of the outreach myself and have service teams/agencies do that for me. I have found a few clients here, but large projects with YouTubers and companies aren't found by myself.
I think you can definitely make a living with Minecraft plugins if you are dedicated enough. Obviously, you can make a living with everything, but the Minecraft plugins are in my opinion one of the better ways to earn money using Minecraft.
Please look at various paid plugins and check their purchase count and prices. There are some fresh plugins(released in 2022/2023) that are selling like crazy and have already made tens of thousands of dollars for the authors.

A lot of people make good money selling on our resource section as well! It really depends if you want to offer an exclusive plugin or a non exclusive one.
If you're apart of a freelance team, or multiple, you can have hundreds of requests a day - taking the ones you'd be satisfied doing, whenever you'd like.
You can make some pretty serious money depending on the requests. However, most commission companies do take percentages. If you're looking to maximize profits, then I'd recommend uploading premium resources independently, or acting as a stand-alone freelancer without a company to bring in clients.
