189$ isn’t the end of your life. Sure, it sucks and it was one hell of a scammer but people have been scammed thousands. Just learn from your mistakes and move on. Try calling paypal, that’s your best bet. Buts it’s unlikely it’ll be able to be charged back as F&F is only to be used when sending to a friend or family member. The only way would be to contact your bank, however, you’re only 15 so I doubt you used a bank.

You paid fnf so you’re not covered through buyer protection, you won’t be able to get your money back.

He could deliberately dirty his account history to trigger PayPal's security algorithms and then claim the payment sent was unauthorized and happened due to malware, even if it was his IP address that sent the payment. Not sure how that would play out, but it wouldn't be difficult to fabricate some evidence.

I was able to make a dispute, I think I got lucky.
