Does anyone use PayPal anymore. If so, what is making you stay?

Hello MC-Market members,

I was wondering to myself today, "Why do I still use PayPal, many people use Stripe and such?" I wanna know why you guys use it. Personally I just like the UI and the management WAY more, but I also like stripes invoice feature. I heard Stripe was better than PayPal, but I wanna hear what you guys think and why.

Key word "was". Until they started releasing even more and more restrictions, accounts getting limited left and right.

Accounts getting limited with no reason on why your account was terminated.

I still use it because its what is desired for my clients. Want to use stripe in the future.

People still use it because it's more widely used and accepted. Other than that I don't see any other reason someone would want it.

As other said its mainly that it is accepted and used widely. I also liked it being that you could actually keep balance and didn't need to take it to your bank always (Ik most like it in the bank anyway but I thought the option was neat). As you also said the ui was also pretty nice on PayPal as well. But overall as Justin said, they just started banning people and I got banned so I had to move on.

I really used to enjoy using PayPal. Until the day I got an email "You can no longer use PayPal". Within the email, it had said to me that I was limited due to suspicious activity, they would not tell me a valid reason when I called them up. Called them up multiple times and they are no use, you'll have to wait 180 days to get your money out from PayPal, although I took another step and forwarded it to AFCA (In Australia, we have a financial complaints website), I'm pretty sure the US has one too, but I complained to them and got my money out within a month.

If you start using PayPal, expect problems such as restrictions and limitations in the future.

After that, I had to move on and find other alternatives such as Stripe.

I use PayPal because it's the only option in Canada that allows for international money transfers. We do have a domestic option, but it's limited to regional transfers and requires a specialized bank account which is expensive and most people don't have. We do have Square, but not CashApp.

I don't use paypal nor is it possible for me to use it, I live in a country that is so behind that I can't receive money on paypal or transfer it to my card but I can send money to anyone outside my country. I despise paypal as well as my country for limiting me in such an annoying and pointless way

I use PayPal just because of how many places you can use it at, and the security of it not having to give anyone your credit card information for example.

Along with that it's free to use and i've never had issues with PayPal.

Personally i still use it, because it is accepted very widely, and me and my friends are using it for the money pool feature

I still use PayPal since many webstores accept it. Other than that I would just use my bank for paying directly. I heard some of my friends are using Stripe, tho.

I still currently use Paypal simply because the majority of internet users (and people off the internet) utilize Paypal for payments and transactions, therefore, it provides reason to use it. Otherwise, I would use services like Stripe for example.

At least for me, I use it because its simple to use. You can send someone your "code" and they can send you money easily. Which makes PayPal good for commission payments and such.
