You won't earn more than 1$/day with a decent gaming rig. And it may also shorten the lifespan of his CPU or GPU depending on what he would use to mine.

I don't have a good enough computer, but I run the program on my friends computer (I don't actually do it, but he does, I showed him how) and with just a 1050 I believe, he makes about $2.50 every 8 hours (leaves it on when he goes to bed) and yes, it could shorten it but not by very much as long as you don't leave the program running for too long.

There's been a lot of price fluctuations, but mid-June I was making a steady $6 USD/day doing literally 0 work.
Money for 0 work is infinite effiency. Why would I instead trade infinite efficiency for something that requires work but doesn't provide infinite cash flow?

My gaming rig, with hardware that's a few years old, was making $6 USD/day steadily.
With some technical issues with Poloniex and BTC price falling, it's like $3.50 USD/day now, but as ZEC price comes back up to $300+ and BTC comes back up a little, that $3.50 will literally turn into $6/day again. And I mean "turn into" for a reason.
Can't really be bothered to go into much detail but if you want more specifics just let me know.

Nor do I think he's got a halfway decent GPU. I tried it with my shit PC once, left it open for 60+ hours, hadn't even earned a cent. You need an actual good GPU to run it.

What hardware do you have and what algorithms were you using because you're probably doing it wrong.

Were you using your CPU? Because I am fairly confident that any GPU would be able to run it. I have a bad PC, with just normal intel hd graphics card, and there isn't even a GPU option, so the only way that I would be able to do it is using my CPU at .30¢/day. And you do have to have all programs closed for it to run even semi good. I tried running it while having discord open, brought down the price from .30¢ to .20¢.

Edit: And you never know if he has a good PC, and if he does this can be easy money for him.

Intel Integrated definitely isnt good enough for bitcoin mining.
also, I generally equate having a good GPU with having at least enough money to not need to be this desperate.
Jack this was 4 years ago, I had an i3 with intel HD 4400, I was probably doing something wrong but I wasn't gonna get more than 1 cent an hour anyway
