faceit's budget for their site was probably like 1k, and you're asking for something "just like it"

I laughed so hard at this entire post. What even is this guy. Hahahahh
Guys there's no point in trying to deter Matilaina from thinking he can get the project done. At this point we are just causing useless drama and going in circles. Obviously we know that it will be very hard to even remotely accomplish what Matilaina has in mind with his current budget. I say that we just let the thread die out and hopefully that this current developer is able to deliver on the project.
On another note, as I said before - if you are serious about this project, and want to make a profit, please get a higher budget in order to get a quality, secure, and high converting product.
We - the web developers - are the ones that are telling you that your current aspirations, given your current budget, aren't really feasible. No one is trying to be - at least in my opinion - toxic or attacking. Merely they are trying to convey to you - either in a professional or unprofessional way - that you need to raise your budget or simply cancel the project all together. No real developer will take on this project.
Lastly, think about your reputation in this scenario. If people will memorize you as someone who attacks, refutes, and makes fun of freelancers, developers, etc. when quoting, then it will be somewhat of a challenge for freelancers to take you and your projects seriously. Instead, they'll turn a blind-eye on a potential client simply because that potential client is aggressive, inept, rude, or what-have-you.
