It takes litterally five seconds to fake screenshots. All you need to do is use inspect element and boom, there's enough "proof" that you own a domain.

Setting up a subdomain to redirect to the thread takes minutes at most, and is far better evidence than a screenshot.

My suggestion is to disallow screenshots as proof of ownership and add information about this in the announcement bar (where it says "you may not sell mc accounts here" in some sections). This would hopefully stop a lot of scammers using the domain market here.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I think it should be allowed, but that it is encouraged for users to ask for a redirect.

That's a nice idea, perhaps even allow a redirect to the seller's profile. But regardless, nice idea!

I don't see the need for us to enforce such restrictions, and specifically for domain sales only. What you accept as valid evidence of ownership is entirely personal preference, though obviously, a screenshot isn't conclusive in the slightest.

If we were to do this, we would have to be consistent and apply the same restrictions on every other section, which is just unneeded in my view. The simple solution would be to request what you perceive as conclusive evidence, rather than relying on what the seller has provided.

With that being said, I believe that informing the unaware users regarding what should be considered conclusive evidence of ownership would be a far better method of alleviating your concerns.
