Scamming has been an issue, in not only this forum, but nearly everywhere on the Internet where you can trade/sell/buy virtual (and sometimes real life) goods.
When I joined this community, I was a noob, and was scammed. I put this together for all the new members, who don't want to be scammed, and so they do not make the same mistakes as I did.
To start of, if you are ever scammed, you must make a scam report. Never let the scammer get away with it (this is valid only on MCM), as he will target more and more people.
When receiving money in PayPal, it will ALWAYS be in your balance or pending balance. There has been times when people send money in an invoice and make the invoice look like it is paying you.
If it is not someone you know or has a good reputation, always let them go first, and if they refuse, simply end the process and find someone else to sell/trade it to.
You should always keep proof of the sale, in case of chargebacks. This gives you a lower chance of loosing chargebacks, and a higher chance of winning them.
I sincerely hope that this helps many people.
Have a good day!
