So many people farm messages in this forum, and they're always very similar messages - not unique to the thread. I think that any replies in the forum should just not count towards people's message count to avoid people farming posts there.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Very good point. Other forums I am on, including my own have message count disabled for introductions online avoid exactly what you've shown via the images.

If implemented watch the decrease in responses in introductions.

I fully expect the responses in introductions to just die, but better to have a few high quality responses than a copy pasted "welcome to mcm!" on 30 threads

Introductions is a forum we often tell new members to go post in to meet their first 3 post requirement. I think we should probably moderate the low quality posts in that forum so that people don't copy-paste the same message over and over which breaks rule 1.8

They can meet that first 3 post requirement by going to other forums such as general discussion, or feedback and assistance. There is no possible way MCM is gonna handle all the posts in the introduction section when yall can't even keep up on the ticket/report backlog.

Bruh, I literally just reported a post there before seeing this thread. You can help by just pressing the "report" button for low quality posts. They break the following:
1.8 Do not post content which is extremely low in quality, irrelevant, redundant, unnecessary, or meaningless. (e.g: “Looks nice, GLWS”, “Vouch”)
1.8.1 Do not post content to which a reaction could have been substitute, or which was already made apparent.

Yeah sure, let me go report 30 threads and get warned for abusing the report system. Good idea! It'd be much easier to just not count the posts since it would theoretically increase the quality of messages there and decrease the amount of reports that come from it.

It's an easy switch to make they just ideally need to head into the xenforo acp, click on the node tree, click on the forum options tab and untick count messages posted in this forum toward user total.

There is other methods to gain 3 posts other than introductions

Why not I like message farming... As long as the message you post isn't "low quality" 'Welcome' message. Also no necro posting then it should be fine.

Support requests for mass reporting is a thing too, you know. And never once have I been reported for mass reporting so don't expect you will either, if your reports are valid.

It could be easily moderated. But I have to agree it would make everyone's life easier, the reporter and reportee (Staff) to just not have to deal with any of it.

Indeed. I think that this is more important and if someone's farming posts through that forum then please let us know and we'll look into it.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
