So for the past few weeks I was hiring youtubers for my server. I would find business emails, dm on Twitter, and so on. I found Dexonic's channel and it seemed to do really well. I contacted him, made an arrangement, and got a really good deal for him to stream. I pay him a day or two before the release and he tells me great. After I pay him, he begins to ask me if I can donate on his stream. I'm confused, as I'm doing business with him, not watching his stream. He tells me he's desperate for money for a new PC. Anyways, whenever release day comes, I get no response from him. Release comes at 3pm, and he still hasn't streamed. I check discord, and turns out he replied right before release time. He says that he slept in and that he forgot about the stream. Only a few minutes until release, he says that his computer is updating. I tell him then that maybe he should forget about it and just refund me. He says no no no he's got it and to just give him a bit. Almost 3:30, and he hasn't started streaming. At this point I'm pretty mad. I wanted all of my youtubers streaming at 3 together to get that rush of players to join. I tell him just to refund me now, and he finally replies saying ok I'm ready to stream. He tells me no refund now and begins to stream a few minutes later. He gets like 10 people on his stream and I'd say half of them came onto the server. Turns out, unlike his other streams, he didn't have time to tell everyone on social media that he was going to stream. Anyways, he joins factions and just sits at warp pvp, just trying to get people to donate to his stream. He fights at warp pvp for a bit and then just goes afk and talks to his friends. He spends the other half and hour trying to get as many people on his discord as he can get. As soon as the stream hit 1 hour of time online, he immediately goes offline and leaves the server. Never replied to me again or nothing. I'm requesting my money back after that. Total waste of time.
