I believe that resources by banned members shouldn't get removed.
But there should be a Caution alert on the Resource Page.

There have been a lot of useful resources by members that are banned now.

Banned members should not continue to make money through our website.
Not only that, but we should not encourage that members use content by banned members. They will have no means of protecting themselves should something go wrong.
It's not like we can warn banned members, or file scam reports on them.

Resources by banned members will also not be getting any updates, fixes, or support.
They're generally just unsafe for our community.

Alright, well you can just remove paid resources. Or you could make them free, so banned members who scammed, don't just run off with free money. And how is putting a Caution Alert on those resources, encouraging them? It isn't, its doing the exact opposite.
Just like the Investments, you put an alert that this is your responsibility, MCM will not be responsible.

It's completely unfair for MC-Market to be taking banned members content, and saying, "Well, you're banned now, so we're going to give away unlimited free copies of your content to our members now". That's ridiculous.
It's also unfair to force banned members to have their resources on here. Considering they're no longer able to edit or remove their resources if they want to. Even if they're free.
It's their content. We should not be bullying people around like that, even if they happen to be banned.

You can say that we're not responsible, but if we're making the conscious decision to host banned members' content, we are making the conscious decision to put our members at risk, and it doesn't matter if we say "We are not responsible", we are still morally responsible.

Well that users got ban for scamming / promoting other sites etc so if they can take advantage of other people mcmarket should do it too cuz they are giving the forum a "bad reputation"

We would be the ones giving the forum a bad reputation if we fought fire with fire by taking advantage of our banned members.
Just because the community is littered with children doesn't mean the site has to act like it's run by children.
We should be the bigger man, and do the morally responsible thing.

You know what really isn't fair? When a user lies to another user, and takes their money or in other words scamming.
To balance it out, we could take something away from them.
Also, I am not asking for resources by banned members to become free. Yes I agree with that, but that is not the suggestion currently.

Also, same thing can be said about the Investments section.

Resources which people have paid for should remain available for download by purchasers before it was deleted.

Basically stop any and all purchases of the resources, but keep the license of those who have purchased it for a week, and notify them of the resource being removed soon.
That sound like a good idea?

Well, I agree & disagree with this thread. I do believe the resources should be stored somewhere, or "unavailable" to buy if the member is banned.
I used to have a few resources before I was banned, now when I am unbanned they're gone. And so are the purchasers hopes of updates etc. (Although I wasn't the biggest maintainer ;))

Definetly believe a banned notice should be on the page, aswell as an "Unavailable" Button for purchase if the member is banned.
This will let old purchasers continue to download it just fine, prevent the banned user from profiting. And if he once get unbanned, then just re-open the resource and we gucci.

Justis summed it all up pretty well.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
