Okay first off to begin with, I didn't intend to plan to advertise on spigot here for the sake of advertising. I actually have come for help.

I bought a dedicated server and we're halfway into the month, yet no donations have come through despite everything configured, bungeecord, multiple gameplays (factions coming soon), etc.

One of 2 or both are happening I believe:

1. Players cant afford to donate (Which I find hard to believe since I see so many actually on other servers who are around my small 10 playerbase ages.)

2. Players hate how my server is ran. Staff at times is provoked by our fellow players as both try to argue and bend the rules to their defense and ultimately stirs up drama...

Does anyone know how to improve the quality of my server? I don't want it to die, we need donations to keep it alive.

IP: drakoncraft.com

Small server playerbase, Active usually during the daytime of USA time zones. I wasn't sure where to put this, but I guess here. Please don't put useless or nonsense feedback on this thread such as "It sucks, just sucks, too small too boring etc."

Actually suggest how to improve it. I need cheap or ultimately FREE alternatives to get it up.

We have 5 staff members now.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

  • Builds. It's extremely important to have epic builds for each server.
  • Advertisement. have some sort of advertisement team for your server.
  • host events when you hit a big milestone.

If your players hate how your server is ran, they wouldn't stay... I can't check your server out but here are a few points.

- Does your server store actually offer things your players would like?
- Do you take into consideration input from regular players within your community?

Making your players feel welcome in the community and giving them a sense of belonging should ensure you some donations, otherwise something isn't right. I'd suggest reading some other threads around here on managing your player base. GL

Yeah I would totally bring in some custom builds, just the other day I spent over $350 on 3 spawn points and $400 on a hub map, this is spiked my player base returns. I get regular donations this helps pay for my dedicated, but I started 6 months back on a 4GB server and built my way up, i then built an awesome website and that has attracted more players, i guess it shows more professionalism.

If you don't have the funds to keep it running, then i don't understand why you bough a dedi in the first instance.

I would downgrade to a cheaper plan for singular servers, or get some cash and get a cheap youtube contract, you can get some for around $450 per video that could bring around 200k views.

I hope you succeed with your network buddy!

All the best

Firstly as others on this thread touched upon you need to be professional. Also the people who are representing you (Staff) also need to be professional. I request my staff to use as little mistakes as possible when typing and to never swear in chat. Secondly always take in player requests. Player requests made my server what it is today. Sort out your server first then advertise, because once players see a high quality server that they will enjoy they start to invite people.

I wish you good luck,
- Mak
