So ive been wondering this i have got a drawing tablet since i want to get into graphics it is one without a screen. but i cant seem to draw with it. it feels like i cant even draw now and im like 5 year old drawings. is it just me or should i just keep trying. I was thinkking of getting another one with a screen when i can afford it but cant atm. so what should i do just keep trying with the current one or just ditch it.

Also what software is good. currently i got photoshop. and i got illustrator which i dont have a idea how to use. XD

Keep at it man, I brought a cheap tablet a few years ago and still use it. It feels like you cannot draw and still does sometimes. Of course the screen ones are better but cost £1000+. If you can afford it buy that, but if not keep working at getting better and you can do it.

I have made a lot of server related artwork with a relatively cheap $200 Wacom tablet. I wouldn't say you need a screen tablet to get good at it.

Btw; i cant draw irl, but on a tablet it's easier because you can undo lines.

Goodluck! :)
Thanks. Also you got any software recommendations.

If you've already got photoshop, you don't really need to buy any other software (Might be biased c:). Sure it may be complicated, but it's really powerful. Second software I recommend would be Clip Studio Paint/ Manga Studio it's meant for illustration and has a lot of nifty features and a good brush engine that does a nice stroke.

As for the tablet, I recommend staying with the no-screen for now, just keep practicing your hand-eye coordination, after a while it gets really intuitive. I'd recommend brushing up your skills on drawing with just paper, because although it's digital art and you can un-do a lot, it's quicker if you're already comfortable making strokes and getting sketches done with ease. I started off with the smallest wacom tablet, and earned enough thanks to those who commissioned me to get a cintiq.
