I just jumped in my pool with my S6 in my pocket... It was in there about 1 minute before i realised and had seen it at the bottom. I put it in a bowl of rice, it's been about an hour and it's still not turning on. Is it broken upon repair?

At least now you can get the 7 which is complete utterly shit. If I were you I would get a galaxy. [DOUBLEPOST=1473589841][/DOUBLEPOST]
It's water damaged there is all mist in the camera lens. I have it insured but I'm not sure if it's classed as accidental or carelessness.
Lie if you have to. Just say you were at the pool and a friend if yours pushed you in.

I have the galaxy S7 edge its great man

Now to the phone
Did you try to switch it on asoon as you toke it out of the water?
If so
- phone is fucked it needs to bedrained most repair shops has that fluid that does it (Idk what its called)

If not
- Leave it for up to 24 hours in a bowl of rice
DONT TRY TO SWITCH IT ON!!!
IT WILL BURN OUT !!!

Good luck

I tried once after an hour of it being in the rice bowl. I held it down for about 5 seconds.

It Burned out the chips inside

Repairing it will cost more just better to get a new phone
In my country it costs alot not sure if you guys have Samsung stores take it to them and they might replace it or just send it in to be fixed on your network providers costs

The rice trick only works if you put it straight in rice after dropping it in water, not a few minutes of full exposure (to water).

Aka R.I.P your phone.

You realize that he said "S6" and not "6S", right? Samsung uses the "S#" branding while Apple uses "#S" or "#" branding.
[DOUBLEPOST=1473593273][/DOUBLEPOST]This is why you get bring your phone near water, not even near a bottle of water. Anyways, I hope your phone can be revived from the water damage. :(

I have a S6 too and I love it. Just not how the battery depletes so quickly.

Leave it in the rice for another 2-3 days, DO NOT turn it on during that time otherwise it will fry the circuit board. If that doesn't work, lie and say that the phone just stopped working, or smash the screen and say you dropped it.

Nope. There never will be. In all honesty I don't see a problem with them unless they trash your thread/post because of it. I honestly love it when they let me know kindly.
