Dumb reason to close a scam report

People have gotten banned on far less evidence than this guy has, I'm assuming Energy didn't want to ban such a well-known developer and that's why he gave loads of slack, but cmon, at least acknowledge the evidence he did provide, right?

Doesn't even show the discord name of the person they were speaking to..

I am not sure what Energy and the OP discussed, if anything, so all we can do is rely on what is publicly shown.


What is publicly shown is that the OP showed this image in the original post:

• Splodge didn't deny that he confirmed onsite with Soul
• Splodge and Soul didn't explain what the discussion on Discord was that required Splodge to confirm onsite (since Splodge denies it was regarding an exchange)
• Splodge never denied payment being sent to him, only for evidence that Soul sent a payment
• Soul did not show what he paid this Splodge on Discord (Such as what the exchange was. Was it BTC to PayPal, CashApp to PayPal, etc)

In my opinion, what Energy should have done was:

• Ask for the full conversation between soul1337 and the Splodge, even if the Splodge on Discord removed all messages. Soul still could have shown the full conversation, provide Energy with the Discord username, discriminator and the ID (For future reference) as well as any video evidence that corroborated that
• Ask what the exchange was, such as if soul1337 sent money to this Splodge's PayPal
• Ask what the discussion was between Splodge and Soul that required Splodge to confirm onsite

The scam report was closed prematurely in my opinion, but the only thing that can happen is soul1337 creating a ticket asking for it to be re-opened so he can provide the evidence that Energy was requiring, whether it ultimately is deemed sufficient or not, but at least that way the scam report isn't, in my opinion, rushed.

Now that the user is banned, I bet you feel super smart. I had no conversation with this user in the first place so there was nothing to make a report about.

This was clearly an honest person and this was all just mc-market's staff being bias to a developer
