Basically, I think users that have been on this forum for over 1 year and with substantial ratings should get an elder tag showing their commitment to this forums and they should be trusted. there could be other requirements too like approval by staff.

Well, I mean they can be nominated and help decide choices for the forums. Like a democracy.

And also, I don't think someone will wait 1 full year, get tons of ratings, get nominated then scam someone.

I personally like this idea, I think the people who have been around for a long time should get recognized, this will also help new people that are joining the formus to know who to ask questions or tips to.

Kind of pointless, and didn't Verringer add something like this in 2014, and revoke it due to its abuse?
Also, it misleads new members into thinking that someone is trusted just because they have been at the forums for over a year and have, say, over 500 messages or so.
