Millennials ago, Arch Lich Kak’zak brought forth an apocalypse to obtain immortality, engulfing the entire continent in flames of war. Five Kingdoms fell along with the decease of their rulers, humanity underwent an Age of Darkness. Aria, a saintess of the Holy Church made a divine oracle, foretelling that light will shine in the darkness, heroes of light will emerge through the trials of fire and save the continent from the apocalypse war. The heroes of prophecy will reclaim the five fallen kingdoms and land from the clutches of the dreadful undead, establishing an Empire and bring an end to the Age of Darkness.
