End The Sexual Chat Conversations

I remember when I joined this forum in April of last year. MCM was a place for me to talk to and do deals with people who liked collecting "OG" names as much as I did when they first became readily available. I was pretty active and I enjoyed the forums overall, in fact I still very much do. I was later kindly gifted premium in June and I noticed a chatbox had appeared on the side of my screen which was filled with people I regularly had discussions with. I was greeted with messages like "Hey, Doge has premium!" and "welcome!". The shoutbox then mainly revolved around discussions relevant to the forum and interests such as OG collecting, Building, Server Creation, you name it! Needless to say, I loved it.

Unfortunately in recent times, the shoutbox has been plagued with people having sexual discussions; most of which are extremely immature and filled with nonsense. This happens nearly every single day and it's getting quite annoying and repetitive at this point. This isn't something that belongs in a marketplace at all and I wonder what non-premiums think after seeing the chat filled with this stuff.

That right there is exactly what we don't want or need to see and is what this suggestion will hopefully put an end to. (There are pages and pages more of this stuff, but I figured this is enough to get my point across)

This would improve the chat quality and would be a step forward to restoring its overall greatness.

I'd also like to point out that if we believe the chat seen in the original post is bad, people here have no idea. There's certain levels of "sexually explicit content" Saying you'd like to have sex with someone isn't bad. Now saying that and describing what you would like to do to that person in great detail is probably not acceptable. I mean just ask Avsterbone about my thug life outside of McM. He knows what going above and beyond the limits means

Nah, it's more of a win for anybody that's annoyed by the people who talk about fondling ponies and sucking their own genitalia.

I had no problem when people like Kiwi were just having a normal discussion about it, but then we have the morons saying stuff like "i rather fug human over pony :-DDD" "i want to suk mi own dik :-DDD" Most of the people who join in this type of talk shitpost on the forums, argue with mods, make stupid suggestions and behave extremely immaturely overall.

For some reason people are under the impression that I want to remove any kind of mention of this stuff, but I don't. I want to stop the annoying and immature nonsense spewed out by certain people.

And I love how people say "innocence" and things similar. It's a matter of not acting like an idiot in chat and using "penis" in every sentence. More of a win for anybody who isn't 12-13.

Are you sure about that? Most of the people I see doing this are the younger members who shitpost everywhere and use curse words in discussions/arguments.

Agreed, you can't just force people not to be Immature. Kiwi for example is very mature in the shoutbox, sometimes he likes to have fun talking about sexual things. You are literally taking the fun away. Now, the "OG" part. Account. Section. Is. Gone. Get over it, until it's back people have no reason to talk about it, unless they are looking for snipes,appraisals. They won't talk about something that's not even there.

Just to give everyone a heads up, since the issue has been raised, I'll be taking action when I see such discussions. Obviously I'll give fair verbal warnings before issuing warnings and bans.

Sexual/inappropriate content targeted towards a specific user (even as a joke) will be dealt with under the following rule:

This is nothing to say that the odd innuendo isn't allowed. It's moreso the.. more.. in-depth discussions that people tend to have.
