Hello, I have found a partner and we are planning on starting a server. We have chosen two hosting providers and we want to ask you all what your opinions are about these providers and which you guys think we should go for.

Endermite: www.endertmite.com
Shockbyte: www.shockbyte.com

Thank-You for your opinions.

shockbyte sucks imo. I had 6gb i got 1gb and it lagged like a MOFO
Did you contact support? Most people get confused between "allocated memory" and "maximum memory". Allocated is started at 1GB but dynamically increases/decreases depending on what your server needs up until the maximum memory which is set at whatever package you purchased. You're always given exactly what you purchased.

You sound as if you are staff on shockbyte.

I'd just like to point out that if you go with shockbyte you probably won't have any NA-West players unless they enjoy high ping. Not to sure about how many locations shockbyte has these days but when I had them they only had 1 NA location, and myself living on the west coast got more ping than a friend on mine who lived in the EU to a NA hosted server. Despite that I'm pretty sure the NA location is somewhere in Canada so I assume that explains it entirely.

I personally have used both and I can say that Endermite would be your best bet, I absolutely hated Shockbyte, I was getting node problems, connection problems, and many other types of problems. I've sent in multiple tickets and never got one response. I had also asked for the Dedicated IP I had ordered to be set up, and they just ignored me. I had gotten a response for ONLY that ticket, THREE weeks after I shut down my server/ canceled my services.

So.. Do you have any recommendations?

Either way, Shockbyte offers a 24 hour money back guarantee - this should give you enough time to form your own opinion about us. If you're not satisfied, you can claim a full refund. However, I'm confident you'll be happy with us.

Montreal (right by New York) is literally the best location for the two largest regions for English speaking players - all of central America and good latency to western Europe. Shockbyte and me both use OVH for our game servers (for the most part, at least) and there will be a Portland, OR and Ashburn, VA location in the middle of the year, I'm sure they will use it just as others will which would be good for lower latency to west U.S.

But Datawagon doesnt offer colocation?
They switched to a new site a few months ago, and removed it off of their site, we ordered it at the time of the old site.

So you're saying you had colocation for about 5 months, and just opened?
I have had ties with the owner for some time now, I also owned another company which we did the same thing.
