Hello, I have never seen this rule enforced at all ' 1.8.4 Do not vouch on a product/service thread unless you have purchased that product/service. User vouches should be done via the reputation system.'

I see a lot of people vouching for a product or service in the thread even if they didn't buy the service/product which is kinda misleading for future/potential buyers.

I would love if this rule gets enforced more, or if not, then just remove it there is no point.

Why don’t you just report the content?
No point if it's done in almost EVERY thread, the rule is clearly not enforced so people don't care.

So you make a thread to enforce a rule yet you don’t report the content? Staff can only do so much. Report the content and it’ll be removed when staff get to it.

It’s really simple.
No, I am asking for the rule to be enforced so people know its wrong and stop doing it? I am not going into every thread reporting every post when its literally on every thread, if the rule was enforced and people WOULD HAVE KNEW or at least cared to not break it then this wouldn't have been made.

Im pretty sure people usually vouch for the people like for instance "Vouch OOM is a great guy and easy to deal with"

Rule enforcement needs to be improved all around. People don't get warned for abusing the reputation system nearly enough, I'd think that with all the invalid reputation that chearful scraped, more people should be suspended.

What's your thoughts on changing rule that rule (now 1.8.3) from being:

1.8.3 Do not vouch on a product/service thread unless you have purchased that product/service. User vouches should be done via the reputation system.

to:

1.8.3 Do not vouch on a product/service thread. User vouches should be done via the reputation system.

Right now enforcement is difficult because it's hard to tell when a deal has been done and when one hasn't. If we prevented people from vouching on threads at all and leaving that exclusively for the reputation system, enforcement would be much easier.

Could you make something If a reply contains "vouch" It doesn't post it and send them a warn message that refer to that new rule since a lot of people might not notice the rule If It's added

What about making a different vouch system, just like the reputation system, but only if you purchase something you're allowed to vouch a user + the user vouching another user needs to put the thread link where a deal have gone down. Maybe add a staff rank that checks these vouches?
What's the point of a different vouch system when you already purchased something from someone, Isn't that what the reputation system for?

But honestly, people that are in a hurry don't have time to just go on their reputation to see their pos/neg ratio, they'd rather just see what the clients said and vouched for in the thread, I mean I can't be the only one who thinks like that!

If you purchased something from someone, the next purchaser can see that this guy done multiple deals with succes.
In my opinion, there should be a reputation system to actually give people more reputation because they earned it by for example, being nice, helpfull, etc...
A vouch system is however going to be used for succesfull deals.

& yes I know the reputation system is currently the "vouch" system but it would be nice to have it like I said.[DOUBLEPOST=1562407861][/DOUBLEPOST]
That's where my vouch system comes into play.
Having Vouch: (#number) under 'Reputation: (#)' will save that time to scroll & leave the comments on profiles & threads clean.
OR we could just have it so that you can add a rating to the service, like 10/10, 9/10, etc, which would just replace this whole vouching mess.

Why on Earth would anyone want to do a deal in a hurry. That’s practically asking to get scammed. If you can’t take a couple minutes out of your day to read over someone’s reputation then why bother even doing a deal with them.

I agree, but you know what you haven't thought about, what if the reputation of the freelancer is 120 pos to 0 neg ratio yet they still provide bad quality, yes you haven't heard of such a thing, but you know what? Having your products rated instead of a reputation system is a much more efficient system, if you have doubts about this, I'd love to hear them :p

What about a button you can click that says vouch and theres a vouch counter like this thread has x amount of vouches would stop the replies being flooded
