Hi, so I have around 80$ or so atm.

I am looking to get a website made for my server. However, here is the issue.. Cost.

Xenforo costs 140$ (One Time), where as enjin is 8$ or so a month.. However, I can afford enjin right now, as well as a custom enjin design etc.. But, the thing is, over time it will start to add up in cost. Is it worth getting the website done now, and getting people to apply for staff now etc.. Or, should I save up money and just buy xenforo, and then save up even more money to have someone setup a nice theme for it etc?

I also need a buycraft theme made for my server. The theme would be an egyptain style theme. So, I am not sure how hard it would be, and what all the cost would be. However, I feel that xenforo would be better, but I have no idea how to work that and stuff. So, I would be lost, where as I know how to use enjin etc.

Is there a way to get an xenforo license for cheaper as well? Or, perhaps something like that?

Best Regards,

Enjin isn't as liked as XenForo is, I like it because of how custom you can make it, cool add-ons etc.

So is it better to go with enjin, and pay someone to set it up, and make me a custom theme etc? Vs xenforo?

I mean, this is for an MC server, not some forums.. So, it does not have to be some detailed, and high quality website thing.

Not trying to self-advertise, but I have no problem setting up your own XenForo forum for free. XenForo designs usually go around for $30 depending on how complex you want it, it's really all about the preference. I've just worked with XenForo for so long that I completely forgot how to use Enjjn

There are websites and people on MCM that sell it for cheaper.
Do you know anyone on here that sells them for cheaper, or a website etc?

Make a thread saying you're looking for a Xenforo License. I got one for $70 about a day after I made the thread :)

I think the biggest advantage of XenForo is that you have complete control of your data.

You can usually find a 2nd hand license for cheaper, at the links listed above by some users.

Of course, if you do get a XenForo license, you might want to take a look at MineSync, a sync between your server and your forum.

Neither both suck. You should use discourse little more advanced setup but is better then both forum software.
Google "discourse forum software"
