You sure it wasn't just a one-off, maybe it was flagged as stolen?

I'm sure, it's actually against their policy to sell accounts and all that. But they will lure you into giving them the info so they can lock it.

Them: "Please provide us with the info so we can change the email"
Me: *sends email + display name*
I logged in and boom, the account is locked.
