Today I will be selling the domain Epicprisonmc.com.

What will be obtained?
- Domain
- 1x Logo

What happened to everything else?
- I Do have the setup but its massive, very old (4 -5 years old)
- Buycraft had over 100k on it if not more, some people may choose not to believe it and that's totally fine as I have no proof nor will I base the price on this. (Buycraft was lost when epiccloudmc changed ownership)
- There was no discord at the time so it was mainly TeamSpeak/skype.

Top search results when typing in epicprisonmc - Just proves how popular this server was back in the day - and can easily be revived!

*Please note that this was the prison server for epiccloudmc*

YouTubers such as ASFJerome and GenerikB have recorded in the past.
-
-

*The reason why epiccloudmc became as popular as it did was due to the prison*

What happened to the server?
Not many people will remember/know about it but at one point within the servers history a corrupt staff member stole the files to the server and decided to create an exact copy, and then OPAnarchy was born.

(More details in the above video)

What price am I asking for?
Due to the nature of the server, and it being dead for a good few years I will be selling it as an auction.
Starting Bid will be $5 inc of $5 each time
(Note - if I get offered my desired price I will sell straight up so first come first serve, I am not looking for anything ridiculous)

I will add an end date once people have started to bid on it!

The only fee associated with filing an LLC is the $100 state filing fee that in most states must be paid yearly. If $100 yearly is to much then you shouldn't even own a company or a Minecraft server. You're right, most Minecraft server owners don't pay taxes on their business because they don't own a legal business, but in regards to personal income they will eventually be taxed by their state government and federal government. I think you misunderstand how copyright laws work, there are reasons why you can't go start calling your company "Google" even though your domain name might be "google.xyz". EpicCloudMC and EpicPrisonMC are intellectual properties which are protected under United States copyright laws. Not to mention, you don't need legal documents to say that you own a logo or a piece of art because again, the designer of that logo has intellectual property rights.

In regards to a lawsuit we agree that something like that would be a waste of money and incredibly dumb. The same outcome from a lawsuit could be achieved by sending a cease and desist letter to MC-Market and the user trying to sell copyrighted material.[DOUBLEPOST=1580596963][/DOUBLEPOST]

I don't think I'm clueless. They clearly have legal rights to tell you to take down your thread. They have an LLC and they own the original server made by the founders. Unless one of those two things I just listed are wrong then they have all the right to tell you to take down the thread.[DOUBLEPOST=1580597174][/DOUBLEPOST]Not to mention you aren't making this any better for your self, you are far to immature to even grasp a concept of legality so I don't expect you to.

Oh, and stop calling me a "blindbat" and "...clueless asf" because it hurts my feelings.

You don't get it, do you... I have been in the Epiccloud community since it first started you really think I would be selling copyrighted material, have some respect lmao. The LLC is for epiccloud and epiccloud only unless they have claimed for epicprison and there "artwork" which my friend made so how it can be there's is fucking hilarious. Not to mention what exactly am I doing wrong the domain isn't there's nor is the logo so what's the problem here.

And about being immature don't start, this is a fucking forum lmao we are not in court, not everything needs to be serious lmfao

The reason you can't sell something branded as "EpicPrison" or "EpicCloud" is the same reason why you can't sell something branded as "Google". You are very clearly trying to sell something associated with EpicCloud, you've even said it your self.

I've been a huge supporter of peoples rights within the gaming space, that's the reason I got involved on this thread. The United States copyright system is messed up in many ways, I agree, but it is a fact that they have a legal right to say you can't sell this.

I recommend you need to do some research on how U.S. copyright works. Please don't take as some sort of "insult" either, it really isn't meant that way. I've been screwed over as well by something similar to this, best thing is to educate yourself on it so you can avoid it in the future.

1. There is a yearly fee to owning an LLC on top of the filing fee, which is in the thousands. No server "company" that is inactive and is not making any money is going to constantly be paying for that LLC when it's not in use.
2. You need legal documentation of the logo and name that you have filed, otherwise he can sell his product.
3. For the copyright laws regarding domains, there is a reason why it's called copyright. He needs to file a copyright claim in order to make it his intellectual property. So once he shows us that he contains the documentation needed, the thread should not be taken down for any other reason.
4. They have not shown you one single piece of documentation. How are you coming to the conclusion to take down the thread when all they have said is, "I own the domain that use to be connected to that one and I don't approve of you selling this completely separate domain that I do not own."

I study law so I think I would understand this better than someone who is just googling it on the internet and coming up with false conclusions with no evidence to back it up :)

We should stop shit posting his thread and not slander his name and reputation with false accusations, because that in fact, is against the law as well.

1. An LLC cost depends on your state, ranges from $0-$500 for filling cost, $0-$820 yearly upkeep cost. (https://www.llcuniversity.com/llc-annual-fees-by-state/)
2. You do not need legal documentation for copyright, you can legally file it but you do not have to. A piece of artwork is an intellectual property which is protected under copyright, regardless of if you choose to legally file it.
3. The second you make something you have copyright over that thing you made. An intellectual property is one of three main things, copyright, trademark, or patents. To have an intellectual property is to have copyright, a trademark, or a patent over that thing in question. Again, you DO NOT need to legally file for copyright.
4. There is a national registry for companys and you can look up their company.

I have also studied law, in fact I'm nearing four years. Regardless of if somebody found something off google, off a textbook, off a youtube video, or did their own research they can still find viable answers. After all, that is how you learn.
