You should first start by doing some vouch copies or for free, so you can build a basic portfolio at least, and then you will decide the price of each item ^^.

How does vouch actually work?

does it automatically count when one user said vouch as a keyword and you have them on the counter or you need to manually find the vouches?

No, you just find the user that wants something from you to see your work & so on, at the complete the user just Leaves you a vouch here or on your profile or on a thread that you made or will do, and if he wants a positive reputation too. So you can get a bit of reputation. Hope you understand, GL ^^
