Extend advertisement even though all slots are filled

I went to extend my sticky and I was aware that there were no slots empty but I figured I would be placed in the queue exactly like when you order a new sticky. Not sure if this is a bug or not just implemented but it should really be added imo.

TL;DR no queue when extending expired ad when all slots are filled.

I tried to pay for a year's worth of sticky earlier today, but forgot that if I have such a large amount go through my bank, it would take ages.

So right now I've got an invoice that's supposedly pending, but when I try to pay it with paypal balance only, it says "already paid". Yet my sticky has been removed.
So I'm extremely confused right now.

That might be caused by the fact my invoice was in fact paid before the time ran out, the payment simply hasn't gone through yet. I'm curious though, how long have you been waiting for a spot to open up?[DOUBLEPOST=1513734448][/DOUBLEPOST]nevermind, you just answered it

October is when I bought the ad and it's been in a queue, but before that, I waited another month or two because I thought you had to wait for a slot to open up just to buy it.

Welp, the demand for slots in 'premade builds' is quite painfully large. Which is why I'm so distressed at there possibly being a problem with my thread, if I DO lose the spot, I'm likely not getting it back for half a year. In which case I might start exploring other options.

I personally think that there should be a rotation. Maybe you can't extend your slot after you purchase? (only if there is someone in a queue)

that might be interesting, each time your purchase ends you'd have to wait for the rotation. I wouldn't even mind that particularly much (ofc, I have the resources to afford a year. Which should also be the absolute max allowed at once).

It would definitely make it feel less like a few people have permanently monopolized the stickies (minus fuckups).
Its just a bit interesting how it would work for people that pay stuff like Sellfy membership.

I guess that would encourae people to have MC resources as backup option or some such

Yea, you'd be put at the back of the queue. But you still have somewhat of a choice, you can purchase for a long period of time.

I mean that if you've got a sticky and it expires and you want to extend it later on when it has already been expired for a while you can't join the queue again like you do when you get a brand new one and not extending it.

you should join the queue, but at the back.

I honestly think this system we've thought up is very promising, it solves the problem of stickies being monopolized without being particularly unfair. As long as a maximum amount of time you can purchase at once is set at no more than a year. perhaps even half a year.

There are no plans to develop a system to prevent the monopolisation of stickies, we will be implementing a system for auctioning hopefully to fix the issue you've brought up.
