Sorry for the very misleading title but I need some help..

When I go on namemc and type in a name, it says this name has been available since (date) and then when I go to mojang to change my name I press check availability it says Profile name taken?

Why is that? Please help D:

it means the name got blacklisted

It means the name is Banned from being used.

Some names are blacklisted on the Mojang system, but they are actually available, just not allowed to be claimed.

It's either black listed or namemc is glitched, you can check with Mojangs official API.

Wombat got blacklisted? This happened to me.

Yeah, they block random shit, no idea why.. "Vixen" is blocked.

I tweeted at Mojang support about it, and he said he didn't know, and he didn't know who I could ask, either..
