Why do you want low quality builds?

Because I don’t like these corporate and fancy builds in Minecraft. It’s too business like, and it’s becoming really stagnant, and it takes away from the game. I’m looking for something 2013-14 style.

I know exactly what you mean, but I don't think that what you're looking for is "low-quality". A lot of builders today try and make their builds as good-looking as possible from a top-down, far-out view so that it looks good in renders = easier to sell or put in their portfolio. Unfortunately, that usually means that the details are invisible to players who are standing at a two-block height on ground level.

It sounds like maybe what you want is a builder who can consider UX and produce a user-centric experience by taking into account the player's perspective, rather than making it just pretty in shaders and renders.

Thank you for taking the time to write that. You have the right idea. However I genuinely prefer something that's literally lower quality. I would build everything myself if I could. Sadly though everyone is too focused on how good builds are. So much in fact, that they don't give a server a chance. I've played on hundreds of servers back when with "low quality" builds to MCM's standards, and they had the best community, and most fun user experience I've ever seen. I haven't seen anything like that in a very long time.

That’s valid! I hope you find what you’re looking for. As someone who had the time of my life playing Minecraft with friends in 2012-2014, I genuinely hope you can find a way to recreate that feeling.

Things were better in 2012-2014. I feel the building scene is way too serious and professional now. It's no longer fun.
