Factions Server Ideas

Hey I'm new around here on MCM and I just wanted to ask some questions or receive some opinions.

Ok.
So I am working on a factions server at the moment but I feel like it's copying timeless pvp in a way or CosmicPvP idk.

Theme / Concept of server: So basically the server is based off time travel, your time traveling but your time machine breaks / bugs out and sends you to a time era (the first one being released with server is ww3 in yr3000) and I plan on adding more time eras to chose from if the server gets players.


But now is that hard part I think .
How will I distinguish my server from all of the other faction servers that are being created?
I have custom enchantments (well not exactly it's being worked on so its technically drives you right click to decode to receive a decoded enchantment drive.


So please don't mention custom enchantments or anything from other servers that are obvious. Thanks guys

SOO if you guys if I need some answers / opinions.

1. What do you look for in a factions server?
2. What will make you play a factions server and stick with it rather than playing others.
3. What's a decent host preferably cheap as I don't have legit a crap on of money to spend each month a server that I don't even know will succeed.
4. Is the theme "time travel" good and the concept I'm going for?
5. What plugins should be made to make it be distinguishable.
6. What plugins are aspects of making the server should I try to avoid to stop the server from looking like its copying another server?

My advise: don't do a factions server.

Normally I look for overpowered factions, (starter kits with obsidian etc)
Well, the server has to have respectful staff members, and a nice community.
Http://www.omgserv.net cheap. Easy to use panel too.
Yes, sounds very unique.
I'm not too good about plugins, but don't do things that are too close to those big servers (envoys etc)

Why? Faction servers are the most common and over used gamemode ever.

And? Almost every server has a prison and/or creative. A unique factions server can bring tons of players.

My opinion, your server can be absolute garbage, it does not matter. I recommend getting a decent setup and making sure the server is 100% with perms etc. Instead of spending your other money on builds etc, I recommend buying some .org hours. I have seen servers explode from it.

make it so you have to find a way back to your time, but you mess up time, and have to fix it to save the future. people will help you or block you from saving the world
